The DBGS Site improvement plan begins this weekend - 19th & 20th February. The hedge that surrounds the Field Pond will be cut back and the trimmings will be chipped and retained on site to create temporary pathways.
Some work is required to the poplar trees around the Cricket Pond and we will appoint a tree surgeon shortly.
We are planning a Community Tree Planting event over the weekend of 19th & 20th March. We have 70 semi-mature trees to plant with help from volunteers. We hope to be joined by local councillors and the press.
Looking further ahead, we have appointed a contractor to create the new entrance, vehicle track, temporary car park and footpaths. Weather permitting, the work will begin in April. When this work is complete, watch out for news of our Grand Opening in May!
